Olivia Wander

Current Position

Olivia will soon be starting as a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Halat Lab at the Colorado School of Mines.

Background

Olivia grew up in Carrboro, North Carolina, and studied at North Carolina State University, earning her BS in Materials Science and Engineering. In her free time, Olivia loves to hike, learn new languages, and play beach volleyball.

Research

Olivia's work involved the operando analysis of lithium growth in batteries with heterogeneous heating profiles. Smooth plating and dendritic/mossy lithium growth were compared using a range of techniques, including NMR and MRI.
