We actively value diverse perspectives and are dedicated to fostering a group culture where differences are embraced and celebrated.
Graduate Students
We are no longer recruiting graduate students at UC Santa Barbara, as our group will be relocating to the Max Planck Institute for Solid State Research (MPI-FKF) in Stuttgart, Germany, between 2026 and 2027.
If you are interested in pursuing a Master's or PhD position in Stuttgart, please contact Dr. Clément with the subject line 'Master's/PhD inquiry at MPI-FKF' (emails without this subject line will not be read). Be sure to include your résumé, career goals, and research interests in your message.
Postdoctoral Researchers
We are always interested in candidates with strong background in characterization (e.g, NMR, X-ray tools, electrochemistry), in inorganic materials synthesis, and in computational materials science (DFT, Monte Carlo, AI/ML).
However, we are no longer recruiting postdoctoral researchers at UC Santa Barbara.
If you are interested in applying for a postdoc position in Stuttgart, please contact Dr. Clément with the subject line 'Postdoc inquiry at MPI-FKF' (emails without this subject line will not be read). Be sure to include your résumé, career goals, research interests and a list of 3 references in your message.
