Eric Yoshida

Current Position

Eric has received an NSF Graduate Research Fellowship and is now a Ph.D. student in the group of Prof. Kai He at UC Irvine.

Background

Eric earned his Bachelor's and Master's degrees at UCSB but originally came from Pleasanton, which is located in the Bay Area. His previous research focused on the chemistry and mechanical properties of biological structures like shark egg cases. Outside of the lab, he's a huge sports fan, so when he's not working, he's probably watching either the Giants or the 49ers.

Research

Eric worked on the synthesis and characterization of DRX (disordered rock salt) cathode materials while in our group.
