Daniel Cha

Background

I'm Daniel and I was born here in the US but most of my childhood was spent in Korea before I moved back to the Bay Area in 6th grade. Currently, I am studying Chemical Engineering at UCSB, and I will be in my 3rd year in the fall of 2024. Generally, I love learning new things which may be the reason why I have a lot of hobbies. Amongst those hobbies, I particularly like playing volleyball and piano.

Current Research

I am currently working with Tyler Pennebaker to develop solid-state batteries for real-world applications. Our work involves using experimental tools such as EXSY NMR, XRD, and electrochemical tests to analyze the performance of solid electrolytes.
